Cruise Days 26-30

7, 6690, 10778

Our travels continue! As I write this, we have rounded Cape Horn and are in the Drake Passage. Seas are relatively calm for the passage, up to around 12′ at this time. (We have our fingers crossed.)

We had quite the glacier sightseeing while in the Beagle Channel yesterday including Glacier Alley in the Fjords. (Brujo Glacier is the above photo.) Earlier, we took an excursion from the ship into the Straight of Magellan, to Magdalena Island, to see a colony of Magdalena penguins.

While on Magdalena Island we also saw a Kelp Goose.

Our last stop was Ushuaia, Argentina. This is one of the southern most cities in South America. It was beautiful.

Cruising the Antarctic Peninsula is our next stop. (The ship captain just announced some high winds are expected when we arrive at the Peninsula and because of the ice and wind, we may have some changes to our cruise.)

Best Wishes!
