A Busy Few Months Filled with Music, Family, and Big Changes

Sue and I have been on the go these past couple of months! We travelled to three concerts, David Benoit with guests at Jazz Alley, Chris Botti with guests also at Jazz Alley and The Eagles at The Sphere.

Each performance was outstanding, with talented guest artists adding to the experience! (Kudos to John Splithoff!) More to come on all three concerts in a future blog.

Speaking of The Sphere – it’s in a category of its own. This concert was by far the best audio and visual experience ever coupled with an outstanding performance by The Eagles. Sue and I put this facility and performance up there with anything we have seen in the world.

Music: A Constant in My Life

I am passionate about music and listen to it frequently. It is a very important part of my life. I have other music sources and services, but Spotify is my most used source.

My 2024 Spotify Wrapped summary provided some interesting insights into my personal listening habits. During 2024 I listened to 578 different artists and 993 different songs on Spotify.

I did particularly enjoy one song, Another Train by Chris Standring and listened to it 359 times during 2024! It put me in a pretty exclusive percentage of listeners to that song.

Helping Our Kids Find Homes

Sue & I have been active helping our kids find homes. We have been involved with two home purchases (a total of six offers) and have learned much about this process! (One bit of advice is to work closely with an experienced home inspector!)

Exciting Family News

Our immediate family will finally be together this coming April as son Brandon with wife Amy and our grandkids Isaiah and Ollie are moving to the Tri-Cities. (Brandon, after working 13 years for L3/Harris in Texas has taken a remote job with Sherpa 6. He works remotely except for regular travel to DC.)

What’s Next

I am keeping busy with many projects! Upcoming blogs will include details and photos of the concerts we recently attended and an update on President Trump and the troubling impact of his unusual administration.

Best wishes to you!
